Impossible to get SSTP working

Dear Forum Members,

I would like to ask you maybe anyone else has faced with this problem already. I created an SSTP VPN with copying the IPsec certificate template and issuing a copy of it to the SSTP server. The problem is when I connect with the Windows VPN client, I get the following error every time:

0x800B0109: "A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider."

Of course I installed the cert of the root CA to the trusted root certificate store and also to the intermediate (just for sure). So there should be no trust issues. Further, the SSTP cert also is installed both to these stores, just for test, but in normal situation only the root CA should be installed. I also disabled the CRL Revocation List Checking for the SSTP via registry in order to be sure about it is not causing the problem.

As I think, there is simply NO THING I can do further with this error since it really says no useful information, just those that I can find with google.

I hope someone has faced this and maybe can help me out, because I'm really getting to give this up unfortunately.

Thank you a lot for your help!

Best Regards,

Christian

One more information: If I copy the SSTP server's certificate to my computer and open it (to check), I can see no errors, the certificate is listed as OK. If there would be trust issues I would see an error for that. But after this I simply don't understand why this error happens.
