Implementing IIS7 server
I'm trying to find out how to implement IIS7 for our site. First, if I already have Windows Server 2008, do I need to buy additional license to use it has a web hosting server? Second, how do I implement the "https" or SSL on my site? Do I have to buy a license or something to make my site secure with the "https"? Third, do I need a firewall to protect my web server? If so, what's the recommended firewall or ports that I have to block? Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Hello, As IIS is included in Windows server standard/enterprise/datacenter no. If you use another version please specify it. If you work with certificates for SSL connections then you need additional servers for Microsoft CAs or you use 3rd party certificates to implememnt. For IIS detialed related questions the better place is: http://forums.iis.net/Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
