The IT Management Planning and Technology forum is not the proper forum for this kind of question. This is a forum for IT Managers to discuss IT people-manager topics, or other business-value or planning discussions. I will move this thread to a more appropriate forum. That said - it sounds to me like a simple firewall issue. Most newer client operating systems have built-in firewall that blocks ICMP traffic inbound. So a PING won't work, even though you have connectivity. Disable the firewall (temporarily), or simply allow ICMP.http://www.bing.com/search?q=how+to+enable+ping&src=IE-SearchBox&FORM=IE8SRCKevinKevin Remde US IT Evangelism - Microsoft Corporation http://blogs.technet.com/kevinremde
