Hello, my website opens with xx.xxx.xxx.xxx IP address till friday it was working fine..after wards not able view the site in webbrowser...what could be the problem ? how can we solve it? It could be a DNS resolution problem. For that use nslookup and check also. It also may be a firewall or a security software which is blocking traffic to this WebSite. Another thing is that it may be a problem with how the Website is published, a problem with the publishing server (which means it is down) or a problem with the IIS server itself. My server with this IP is working and can able to view the updated data in database ..but not able to view, or open the page of website.before the website under IIS configuration was stooped and now started again..still no use..am couldnt view Login page at all.My application was developed in classic asp long back.Kindly give me any suggestion to this...its very urgent... Another thing is that it may be a problem with how the Website is published, a problem with the publishing server (which means it is down) or a problem with the IIS server itself. As per your post it seems that you have got an internal website which is hosted on the IIS and again its connected to the internally located database server. There might be lot of issues where your website cannot be browsed. I am listing it below. 1) Check the IIS service 2) Check the World Wide Web service 3) Try to connect using loop back address 127.0.0.1 http://forums.iis.net/http://www.arabitpro.com

For that, run nslookup and then enter your server FQDN and click ok Enter. Once done, check that there is a returned IP address. To check if there is a firewall blocking such traffic, you can use PortQryUI on the port to which your Website is listening. When you run nslookup server name - you are gettng server.com can not find (IP Address). that means either host record or the PTR Records for that machine is missing? Please check your DNS and make sure the records exists. If they are missing then follow http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727018.aspx to add them Regarding Firewall , Make sure your local windows firewall is off , If the company domain firewall is blocking the connection then you need to get in touch with the network engineer to open those communication ports in firewall.
