ISA with dynamic IP address allocated by ISP
Can I use ISA (2006 SP1) with an IP address dynamically assigned by my ISP? Or is a static IP required? Been googling (binging actually) a bit and have not yet determined this either way. (Yes, I know about TMG but I happen to have a license for ISA which would allow me to work with it longer than a trial version of TMG). * This seems to suggest that it is not possible: http://forums.isaserver.org/m_2002103919/mpage_1/tm.htm And this, that it is: http://us.generation-nt.com/internet-svc-providers-dhcp-issue-isa-2006-help-32712502.html Can anyone confirm? Hi, Thank you for the post. This seems to suggest that it is not possible: http://forums.isaserver.org/m_2002103919/mpage_1/tm.htm It just said the symptom is "cannot obtain" and the sentence is linked to the resolution KB. So the ISA server is supported with dynamic IP from ISP, check KB articles below: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841141 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326116 If there are more inquiries on this issue, please feel free to let us know.
