ISA server 2006
How to configure ISA server 2006 to use manually specified External adapter because, I have many adapters which are connected to Internet all of them have a reason. Please help me i want ISA to use Only that adapter which i want it to use, For example NIC 1 Internal (local network) NIC 2 External (Internet) NIC 3 Other (Internet) The problem is ISA uses the adapter by naming priority but if i disconnect NIC 2 ISA automatically uses NIC 3 which i don't want SO pplzzzzzzz Helpppppp.

During installation you can select the network adapters. Check this article. For ISA / TMG queries, post here. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/Forefrontedgegeneral/threads Thanks

ISA will allow you to specify via the GUI which subnets are assigned to which adapter and to which network the adapter itself should be aligned. That should be your first port of call. You should have defined adapter "Other" (using your example above) to be of a specific network type and encompass a particular range. You can find these settings under: <serverNode>\Configuration\Networks. If you do not define "Other" as being a network object in its own right, then it will continue to default as being included in the built-in External network - which is exactly what you don't want. The decision process is remarkably simple: Is the adapter aligned with the Internal network? If yes, stop here. Is the adapter aligned with a custom defined network? If yes, stop here. Since it doesn't belong to the previous two, the adapter must be aligned with the External network. Do not rely on the binding order to guide your traffic. Take the time to define the networks properly. In any case, as the others have already pointed out, the ISA forum is going to be a better avenue for this discussion. Cheers, Lain
