IPv6 support in ISA
Dear All, We are using Microsoft IAS for Wireless connection and network device access authentication. If we implement IPv6, will IAS support IPv6? As we know the IPv6 will be automatically assigned on the NIC, but why DHCPv6 in place? and can DHCPv6 be set in Windows 2003 R2 platform? And anything I need to be aware of as planning to deploy ipv6 network Thanks, Edward

Hi, Thanks for posting here. IPv6 is not supported in IAS, however you may consider upgrade to windows server 2008 or 2008 R2 and use NPS to achieve the goal. Because NPS supports deployment in IPv6 only and IPv4 and IPv6 mixed environments. For more information regard NPS please refer to the link below: Network Policy Server http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc733085(WS.10).aspx And regard IPv6 information ,please take time to read the article below, it should answer your question: The DHCPv6 Protocol http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2007.03.cableguy.aspx Thanks.
