IP and MAC address column values in Network window of Windows 7
When I open a Network icon in Windows 7 I get the list of computers in my network which I can sort by Name, Category etc... columns. Also I can add IP address and MAC address columns by right clicking on the details bar (I think it is called like that). After that these two columns don't show any value for computers, but they do for my network printers with static IP addresses (DHCP enabled for computers). My question is what do I have to do in order to see this values for computers also ? Is there some service that I have to start on the client computers or what ? It would be nice to have that information next to computer name (IP and MAC) without using third party software. PS. It is a domain network consisting of Windows 2003, 2003 R2, 2008, 2008 R2, Windows XP and Windows 7. PPS. Sorry for my bad English :)
