IIS SMTP outgoing IP
Hi Expert, I have set up a new virtual server for smtp and bind to different IP. However when send out email using 2nd smtp server, receiving ISP always perceived primary IP. How to fix it? Currently, I am using virtual machine so that receiving ISP perceived correctly. However, it requires resources and licences. I wonder some kind of virtual switch, network cards help? Please advice and thanks in advance. Alan

Hi, If the IP addresses are on separate network cards, then you may want to set the interface metric lower on the one with the address that you want the receiving ISP to see and set the other interfaces to have a higher metric, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894564 If the traffic is not to the desired point, then you may need to set static routes. -- Mike Burr
