IIS Manager - Appears Blank
Hello,
When I open IIS Manager (MMC) - it takes a while to open and then it opens and it is blank. There is no information in there.
How can I get this fixed?
P.S: Windows Server 2003 standard, SP2

Uninstalled IIS 6.0, restarted, installed - picture is the same.
Uninstalled IIS 6.0, uninstalled SP2, restarted, installed IIS...now I can see application pools and web sites...but why it is IIS 5.0 ? How I can upgrade it to IIS 6.0 ? Just install SP2 back?

Try to re-install SP2 and then re-install IIS 6.0 and check if the problem is persisting.

I saw on the internet that SP1 is enough to install the IIS 6.0.
Check these links, they are about how to install the IIS 6.0:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc737523(WS.10).aspx
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=80a1b6e6-829e-49b7-8c02-333d9c148e69&DisplayLang=en
If the problem is persisting, tell me and I will see another way to proceed with the install.

I know how to install IIS.
When I installing it from original Windows Server 2003 cd (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc737523(WS.10).aspx) it is IIS 5.0
I need istall IIS 6.0. How I can do this? Should I order new cd with sp1/sp2, or I can download IIS 6.0 from internet?

You can not download IIS 6.0 from Internet. IIS 6.0 only comes with windows server 2003 operating systems. The solution for you problem is to order a new Microsoft Windows Server 2003 install CD that allows you to install the IIS 6.0.
Only IIS 6.0 Resource Kit is able to download from the internet.

I never faced a problem like that. I tried now to install the IIS 6.0 on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 it was OK. uninstall your current IIS version and try to install all the updates for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2. I think it will update your
current version of IIS and give you the possibility to install the IIS 6.0. Do this and tell me if all is OK or the problem is persisting.

Try to find another CD of the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Operating System install which you are sure that it allows the install the IIS 6.0 and re-install your server. This is the only solution for your problem.

OK, try to backup your system state (use start>run>ntbackup) [If you have other folders to backup don't hesit to backup them]. Create a new virtual machine and install the OS with the use of a new CD. Check if the IIS 6.0 is able to
install and then restore the performed backup on this virtual machine and check if all is OK virtually.
If all is OK, then re-install your domain controller OS, restore your performed backup and install IIS 6.0. This is how you should proceed.
This is a link to download Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 a software that will allow you to create a virtual machine and check virtually what you want:
