IIS 6.0 and PHP 5.2.11 Help Needed
I've posted this in the IIS 7.0 forum, but that forum seems quite inactive and I didn't get any reply, but I really need help with this issue. I'm trying to get a website working on a Windows server 2003 machine. The website uses both html and php. I've configured php to work with iis, but when I got the the website I get a dialog box that asks for a user name and password. I enter various usernames and passwords (even the administrator's) but nothing works, if I click on cancel in the dialog box the following appears: You are not authorized to view this page You do not have permission to view this directory or page due to the access control list (ACL) that is configured for this resource on the Web server. Please try the following: * Contact the Web site administrator if you believe you should be able to view this directory or page. * Click the Refresh button to try again with different credentials. HTTP Error 401.3 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to an ACL set on the requested resource. Internet Information Services (IIS) Technical Information (for support personnel) * Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 401 . * Open IIS Help , which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr), and search for topics titled About Security , Access Control , and About Custom Error Messages . However this only happens when I try to go to a php page, if I go to a html page everything works fine. I have made sure that the enable anonymous access box is checked off and the the anonymous access user is IUSR_ServerName. I've also made sure that the anonymous user has read, and write access to the folder the web page resides in. What am I doing wrong or missing? Thanks.
