IIS7 on Server 2008 R2, authorize users from domain
Hello, I'm not sure if anyone has asked a similar question, but any help would be greatly appreciated. I work at a Endon High School, UK. We use an online booking system which has been created by another School in the UK, link can be found here: http://bit.ly/TRH1Ua For the past 3-4 years we've had the booking system up and running perfectly on Server 2003 (32-Bit) on a CC3 network. Over the summer holidays we've had a complete new network install and we're now running Server 2008 (64-Bit) on a CC4 network. I've done a fresh install of the booking software and have stumbled over a few problems. The booking software is coded in ASP and uses an Access database ODBC connection. To log onto the booking system, we've had it (on our previous server) connect via Windows Authentication, so that users from AD can log on. The first problem was that our server couldn't communicate with the Access database, because Server 2008 does not have the ODBC driver installed as default - this has been installed as part of the 64-Bit engine found here: http://bit.ly/MoTvyZ and we can now connect to the database and it works fine. The second problem that we are having, is even though I have enabled both basic and windows authentication, we cannot log into the booking system. Does anyone know if there is a problem with authorising users with ASP? Any help appreciated, Aaron.
