IIS/ Bits installation issue
Im running WS 2008 SP2 64 bit edition plus all updates (except for the ones released in the last few weeks). I was getting an error when i tried to expand a site in IIS which prompted me for a username and password..... Eventually the resolution was to uninstall and reinstall IIS. Unfortunately IIS ended up in a loop where it didnt uninstall but after a few reboots i noticed an error (along the lines that it was undoing some process). I then thought to uninstall each component one at a time and started with uninstalling BITs. The same problem remained, so after some digging around i found the CBS log at C:\Windows\Logs\CBS..... The file is huge and wondered what i could do to narrow down where the problem is please? In order to see whats causing this issue? Event viewer doesnt seem to state a lot. Thanks

Hello Sorry i must have led my question on the wrong path. Ideally i was hoping to find out why BITs component is failing to uninstall. I would have posted the logs but since its huge i thought someone could narrow it down and tell me where to look why its failing as the logs dont have anything that shows where the problem may be? Thanks
