IE not opening a new browser window
Looking for some direction because I am out of ideas. One PC in the office has started to experience a strange issue with Internet Explorer. When a link is clicked on a site that calls for a new browser window (not a tab) to open, the browser just sits there with no hour glass or any indication that something is happening. To make the new window appear I have to actually do something to the home window like minimize or click and move it on the screen. This is happening on a PC running XP Sp3 and everything was fine about a week ago. Then this started happening. IE8 was loaded and I thought that may be some part of the issue since resetting the defaults didn’t help. I removed 8 and restarted 7 with no other result. The tab control in tools is set to default. And I did a reset to defaults with 7 after it was reloaded. Can anyone offer any thoughts or direction? Thanks - mpp

I would check out the tab options in your Internet browser. Changing some of those features may help your problem. In IE8 just go to the top and click on tools > Internet options. In that window under the general tab click on tab settings.
