I have attempted activation of Hyper-v at least 4 times with the same results. after selecting, it says the machine needs to reboot and does, however, when starting up it display's something about "features" and when it reaches 98% completion, says it can't complete and recycles the machine restoring back to original. I have plenty of memory - my cpu has SLAT and turning off USB 3.0 support makes no difference.
I have gone to the log file and found that each time I have done this (load Hyper-v) 4 warnings are generated followed by an error they all have to do with VSS. Following is a copy of the Warning and error :
