How to synchronize local user password with domain password?
This has been annoying me for years. We've got alot of user (amost everyone) who access the domain via VPN. And for some reason, the WLAN doesn't connect prior to logon, so the VPN client cannot connect prior to logon either. Meaning, the password isn't synchronized with domain password during logon, like it usually does. The results is that huge amounts of users are calling at fixed dates when the password has expired and we need to reset it. That's fine, they are able to log on with the VPN client. But once they start Outlook, they need to type "domain\username" and these users are dumb as f*ck and are able to type it correctly very rarely. Causing enormous frustration from me particularly, since I've got more important thing to spend my time on. How can I solve this? I think I remember sometimes seeing a bubble saying "Hey, I've noticed your password isn't synchronized with domain passord. Do you want to synchronize now?" How do I force this to appear perhaps?

Hi Kenny, Have a go at Synegix's ADOM (Active Directory Object Manager). It has the feature to prompt a VPN connected user when his password is about to expire and synchronize the local credentials (cached) with the domain credentials. You can find more info on ADOM from this URL: http://www.synergix.com/v3/ Regards,Salvador Manaois IIIMCSE MCSA MCTS MCITP C|EH CIWA ----------------------------------------------------------------------------Bytes & Badz: http://badzmanaois.blogspot.comMy Passion: http://flickr.com/photos/badzmanaoisMy Scripting Blog: http://sgwindowsgroup.org/blogs/badz
