How to sign the CPS statement with the Root CA certificate?
Hello, We have a 2-tier CA (R2 standard edition, standalone root CA with Thales/nCipher HSM; R2 enterprise edition, enterprise issuing CA) for Internal PKI use. We have crafted a Certificate Practice Statement as required by our Security Policy and Strategies group. This is an internal group that sets security policy and strategy for the company. They have required us to digitally sign the CPS statement with the Root CAs certificate. The statement is currently a word document, we have plans to convert it into PDF once finalized. My question is, how can I sign this document with the Root CAs certificate? I cannot export the certificate to a workstation with word or PDF writer as its non-exportable. We are not keen on installing a product like Office 2010 or Adobe writer onto the Root CA. Am I missing something obvious or can we easily sign our CPS document with the root CA certificate? Appreciate your time, Paul
