How to setup Terminal Server Licensing?
I had recently installed windows server 2003 on my PC. I want others to be able to connect to it over the internet using remote desktop. I've set up Terminal Server and everything works fine, but it says that if I don't set up Terminal Server Licensing Server in 120 days it will stop working. I've tried to read docs but its too complicated for me. I don't understasnd what is active directory, domains, workgroups and all that stuff. I just have single PC and want my friends to be able to connect to it using remote desktop. Can you shortly explain what I have to do to register it?Sorry for my bad english. I'm from Russia.

Have a look to this Microsoft article named "Install Terminal Server Licensing". To understand Active Directory and domains, refer to this article. Active Directory is a directory service that had been created by Microsoft. The main purpose of Active Directory is to provide centralized authentication and identification services to a network of computers using the Windows system. If you install Active Directory service, you will have what we call a DC (Domain Controller). If your computer is not member of a domain, you will not use Active Directory accounts to logon. In this case, you will use local accounts (administrator ...) to logon. In this case, if your computer is not member of a domain, it is working in workgroup. Hope that will clarify a little bit what you have not understood as I tried to use the easiest possible way to explain. All manuals tells that I should install Licensing Server and then activate it. But when I open Administrative Tools-> Terminal Server Licensing there are no servers under 'All servers' node. I'm stuck there, what I have to do next?Sorry for my bad english. I'm from Russia.
