How to pull a list of all devices
I am trying to determine what device the error message (see screenshot) is speaking of. This is a Windows SBS 2011 VM, I have one SCSI device configured to pass through VMware ESXi 5.0 to my server, but not much else connected. I did a search of the registry for the string "0000009b" but really found nothing. Anyway help in finding out this device would be great!!

Hi, As the server in question is SBS, I would suggest you to ask this question in SBS forum. SBS is different than normal Server editions. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/smallbusinessserver/threads See if following articles helps just in case... NTFS Event ID 137 with error code 0xC00000BB may be logged when a pair of hardware-RAID volumes are repeatedly mounted and unmounted. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971905 Problem with quiesced snapshot on Server 2008 R2 with ESXi 4.1 U1 http://communities.vmware.com/thread/309844I do not represent the organisation I work for, all the opinions expressed here are my own. I hate to be rude but this doesn't really answer my question. I am looking for a way to look up this device ID so I can further troubleshoot my problem. As for this being SBS specific not sure that is the case.

Sorry to hear that, the suggestions didn't help. Error shown in the screen shot is not specific to particular device instead it indicates the issue with underlying file system. It might be possible that, some of the FS sectors have gone corrupt due to which you are seeing that error. You mentioned that, the server in question is running as a VM. Perhaps, you might be running the server on iSCSI or FC SAN or a DAS. In that case, please check the storage (disk) health to drill down to the problem. Please see if the storage connected to the server needs any firmware updates. The reason I suggested to seek help in SBS forum was, SBS is always different than normal server Operating systems and it could be possible that, SBS has its own set of error codes to indicate a problem which might not be applicable to ENT ot STD editions. Moreover, SBS experts mostly hang on in SBS forums and they might have better insight on the problem mentioned in your description. You might as well want to contact MS CSS if at all you don not get answers to your questions.I do not represent the organisation I work for, all the opinions expressed here are my own. Hi, I agree with Santosh, you'd better ask in SBS forum, it is a dedicated forum for SBS2011. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/smallbusinessserver2011essentials
