How to move files older than 5 days to a network share?
Hi,
Since windows server 2000, I am using ROBOCOPY to move old files to another drive.
Is there a better and modern way in Windows 2008 R2 to do this task?
Thank you.

Robocopy

The examples you provided are correct.
Also check
"Robocopy /B" does not copy the security information such as ACL in Windows 7 and in Windows Server 2008 R2
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/979808
There is a copy program out there called AutoClone that preserves ACLs and copies much faster than Robocopy.

Maybe you can also try richcopy

Hi M Fawzi,
As I mentioned, Robocopy the solution that I am using and I know how to use it.
My question is: "Is there a better and modern way in Windows 2008 R2 to replace Robocopy"
I said "Modern" because robocopy is around for more than 10 years. I expent something with UI is available in windows 2008 r2?
Thanks..
