1) make sure that the device has snmp probe enabled
2) using discovery wizard to add this hardware device into SCOm monitoring
3) consulate hardware verdor for Cooling, UPS etc value OID value
4) Create corresponding SNMP rule/monitor in monitoring hardware device

Hi Roger,

thanks for your reply..please correct me if am wrong.

1. I need to configure SCOM Management Server IP and port-5723 in Device`s SNMP Trap.

2. I have to use the Network Discovery for monitoring this.

Also, What i have to with Cooling, UPS etc value OID value , where i have to use these hardware details..?

Can you please refer some links for SNMP Rules and Monitors.

Hi

You might want to try the http://www.jalasoft.com/xian/networkmanager solution which extends the network monitoring capabilities of SCOM and you could easily add your device using this Framework.

Cheers,
