Can anyone explain the reasons?

I tried following article http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/hh335292.aspx

It tells:

  • In the navigation pane, click Database. Next, select the subscription, and then your SQL Database server where you want to import the database.

  • On the ribbon, click Import. This opens the Import Database from Storage Account window.

But there is no "Import" on the ribbon!

What is wrong?

Hello,

The ariticle you referenced may used an old release of the Windows Azure Platform Management Portal. Please refer to the following steps to import the database from storage account:
1.Click the "New" button in the ribbon bar which list at the bottom of the Management Portal.
2. In the "New" page, select "Data Services", "SQL Database" and then "Import". This will open the "Import Database" window.

You can refer to the following screenshot:

Okay, got it. Not sure about reasons to do that. In my opinion, it was good place for the "Import" button in the SQL server.

Anyway, thanks for the information.
