How to get more than 2 RDC/users at the same time on Win 2008 R2?

Hi guys!

As far as I can see, there is a max of 2 users connection at the same time on Windows Server 2008 Standard edition via RDC.

- is it possible to change this?

Our servers was purchased with 2008 Standard Edition, but we have licenses for 2008 R2 Enterprise - does Enterprise support more then 2 users by RDC???

Hi,
By default you have the right to make 2 (admin) connection. If you would like to make more connection you have to install Terminals Services (Remote Desktop Services (in 2008 R2)) role. Beside of that you have to buy Terminal Services Client Access
Licenses.
More information about Terminal Services Licensing can be found here:

nope standard or enterprise doesn't make a difference. The default 2 connections are intended for admin purpose only.
If you would like more conenction you have to use TS (RDS) with the corresponding CAL licensesRegards Ronny
