How to disable the splash screen for the console?

Hi,

I was wondering if there's any registry key to disable the splash screen... the console is very slow to load, and the splash screen taking over the entire middle of your screen while loading is a problem for us.

Thanks!

Hi, I don't think there is a way to disable this but I'll just add (in case one of the SM team see this) that I agree it's a pain as it's a topmost window. Hopefully 2012 will have a way to disable it, or have very fast console startup or at the very least, not have it as a topmost window.

Hey, I'm having the same problem here with system center 2012. We use low performance computers as I work for the government and the splashscreen is taking about 10 critical minutes of our time almost everyday, plus this affect the whole IT Crew. This is so unproductive that we are considering to go back to use IBM's Remedy (I know, remedy sucks but you can still pullout some sweet reports through MS sharepoint).

By the way, I searched for a way to solve this on almost every search engine available and I know this threat is dead but this the only threat to bring up the subject on the interwebs.

I hope I can get a SM member to answer here.

Thanks

I know this is an old thread but it's the only one I can find related to this issue.

Does anyone know if there's an update to address this for SCOM 2012? It's been a few years now so I'm hoping there's been some kind of update.

It's unusual for a splash screen to be a topmost window.

Unfortunately, it hasn't been addressed yet. The splash screen's "Always On Top" flag is hardcoded.

Thanks, but the feedback entry link is dead.
