Hi uday,

I do a test in SQL Server 2012 Management Studio, if you want to disable the Microsoft SQL Server Customer Feedback Options, you can select Customize options from Tools menu, then choose help in the Menu bar, and select Microsoft SQL Server Customer Feedback Setting to delete as the following picture.

Hi Sofia,

I don't see the option from help menu any more.

But I do see a pop-up from the System Tray like below

I tried disabling it using the below registry key. But some how i still see the pop-up

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\110]
"CustomerFeedback"=dword:00000000

Can you please let me know how can we disable this pop-up.

(Or) if there is some settings that can permanently remove this component from system. That would be really great.

Waiting for your reply. Thanks a lot.

Hi uday654,

According to your description, personally, there's not a supported way to do this. If you change or remove the CustomerFeedback key in the registry at the location:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\110, perhaps it will cause Setup to fail or others. So I recommend you not to remove the registry key.

There is a similar issue about the popup "Help Make Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Better", you can review it.

Please also feel free to post any new findings or concerns you may have.

Thanks,
Sofiya Li
