How to create test alert from command-line

Hello,

we have scom 2012 and i want to create alert by using powershell or vbs or command prompt.

can i do this ?

i m not talking about monitor or rule. i just want to create by using script like this ;

"create-alert -id blabla -node servername -name testalert"

is there any way to achieve that ?

Hi,

There is no way to create an alert using a single command, as the alert is based on a rule or monitor. You could create a simple Event Log rule/monitor and then use EventCreate.exe to create the event and then get the alert.

Could you maybe explain what you want to achieve and why?
