How to create a failover: 2003 Enterprise server - IIS 6.0 - IPv6
Can anyone tell me step-by-step or point me to a resource that can walk me through setting up a failover for a website. Here is what I am trying to accomplish: (1) If and when server 1 goes down where webpage 1 is located; redirct to Server 2 and land on the backup copy I have created. (2) I want to redirect from one server to another, only, in the event my primary server goes down (3) when the server is back up I want it to automatically redirect to the main server again. **** Based on my research this is possible and I found documentation here: This link here I thought was very close, however, we have IPv6 & not IPv4. Can anyone point me to a document like this one? http://www.google.com/#hl=en&rlz=1R2ADFA_enUS436&sa=X&ei=2Ct6TsCeH-mtsQKN1P27Aw&ved=0CBYQBSgA&q=Create+a+failover+in+IIS+6.0&spell=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=b56c7768dbc8db3d&biw=1311&bih=504
