We are actually looking to install two physical servers with Hyper-V role and host few VMs in both the servers. for the redundancy we wanted to configure Failover/replication between two servers. We do not have SAN Setup in place, is this scenario possible without SAN

I need a little more detail on what you are trying to accomplish. What specifically are you trying to provide failover for? For Hyper-V replication you do not need a SAN, and can use locally attached storage. This
article has instructions on how to configure replication.

I agree with Britt. You are little shy on the details. Depending upon what you mean by failover, it may require a failover cluster, and that would require some form of shared storage. Replica, as Britt notes, works between standalone
nodes, but the replica is not as up to date as in a failover cluster. Replica is an asynchronous process. Failover happens to the actual image, so there is less likelihood of lost data. If you want rapid failover on a crash-consistent basis,
you need failover. Replica means that you could be missing as much data as could get updated in between replica periods.
