How to assign static Public IP to Server to access it from web

I want to assign public IP address to one of our servers to access it globally. Users from anywhere should be able to access it through a web address, it could be like fill your bio-data and submit your profiles on the website.

Which steps should I follow to accomplish this task?

Thanks

Hi Shahzad,

According to your description, I suppose you are planning to setup a website?

If yes, we could post in IIS forum for better help:
https://forums.iis.net

Besides, we also need to request a domain name from ISP.

Technically, here are the steps to assign a public IP address to a computer:

  • Open Network and Sharing Center.
  • Click Change adapter settings.
  • Double click the NIC and click Properties.
  • Double click IPv4 and enter the IP address.

Best Regards,

Leo
