How to add company logo on a report (SSRS 2012) ?

Hi

we are using SSRS 2012. How can I change the folder logo on top of the reports?  I would like to put my own company logo, not the default folder. There is only one file folder_32.gif in the images directory. Changing this file changes all folders logos everywhere, which is horrible.

Thanks

Pierrot

it depends which way this image is placed into reports. It can be Image with external link (http, file), it can be image emedded in report.

first of all, you can add new bitmap into images folder, and (according to which idea is implemented):

* change link in reports - right click on image in Design Page, then properties and change path in "Use this image" textbox

or

* in Report Data tab, expand Images, then right click on image and go to properties. Then change link in "Use This Image" textbox

these steps should be repeated for each report in which you want to change logo.

Isnt it enough to create a rdl template with report header section where you can put an image item and link it to your company logo? You can deploy the logo image to report server and refere it from image item on report header.

then use this template to create all your reports by adding necessary items to main report body

you need to open the rdl file in Business Intelligence Development Studio inside a Report Server project for that and edit the image properties in designer window

rdl files: that's what I was looking for, but there are no such files

Hi Pierrot,

As per my understanding, you would like to add same logo to multiple reports. In this case, storing logos on a server is a good idea because you can use the same logo in many reports.

When using a server-based or other external image in a report, the image item contains a path that points to an image on the report server or wherever it exists on the Web. Server-based images work well for logos and static pictures that are shared among several reports or Web pages.

For the details how to add an External Image, please refer to the link:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd220527.aspx
