How to Disable DNS cache for one domain
Hello everyone...
I have a special problem that is really causing finanical loss with my client. My client uses the cloud application at salesforce.com. We are migrating from a Windows 2000 Server with DNS on it to a Windows 2008 R2 Domain with two Windows DNS
servers. The client is complaining that he is having intermittent connectivity problems with all of the computers that have been migrated to the new domain and that are using the new DNS servers.
As a test, we changed a few of the new computers to use the old Windows 2000 DNS Server and we didn't have any more problems. So I checked to see the differences between the two DNS servers and I found that
the new DNS servers are caching the domain salesforce.com.
I would like to disable the DNS cache for salesforce.com if that is possible. How can I disable the DNS cache for one domain using Windows 2008 R2 Servers?
If anyone else sees a place to look to solve this problem, please speak up!

Hello,
I don't think that this a cache problem. Please make sure that your DNS servers are protected against DNS cache poisoning.
Also, make sure that your DNS servers are using public DNS servers as forwards and not secondary ones. Don't forget to check that you are using the right forwarders.
