How many RDP sessions simultaneously to a server
Hi, How many RDP sessions simultaneously to a Windows 2003 Standard Server, and to Windows 2000:) server? I guess it is 2 + 1 console? And to have more you need to install Terminal Server role right ? /Regards Ole

Hi Ole, Yes. Windows 2003 by default allows two RDP connections to administer the server remotely and one physical console session which youcan connect using the /console switch . But if you want more users to login and work on the same, you need to make it as a Terminal Server and you also need to buy licenses for your clients that connect to it. It is called CALs and it can be either per device or per user. http://www.brianmadden.com/blogs/brianmadden/archive/2004/04/01/the-ultimate-guide-to-windows-2003-terminal-server-licensing.aspxRegards, Rafic If you found this post helpful, please give it a "Helpful" vote.
