we are using scom 2012 with web application availability monitoring. At the template there is the Point "Number of consecutive time a criteria should fail before an alert is generated". Does this mean that within my testfrequency it will be try x times before alert criteria is getting active (maybe 3 tests within 1 Minute) or does it mean that after x frequencies the alert criteria is active (than it will be 3 minutes)?

At the template description it is nothing writting to this point.

- Specify the number of consecutive times selected criteria in the Alerts section list should fail before an alert is generated.

If the frequency is 5 minutes. and Number of consecutive times is 3. Then you will get alert after 15 minutes in case all the 3 test runs are 'failures'.
