During uninstall process the error "The Handle is invalid"is returned

Hi, I have a similar problem. I need to uninstall this update because it give me a big problem to save office files on network

We are having a problem with file saves in Excel and multiple articles indicating kb980232 may be the culprit. Would love to be able to uninstall to confirm or deny there is an issue with it. Has anyone figured out how to uninstall this?
