How do I resize a Volume in Windows 2003 in Windows
I have a Windows 2003 Server were a Volume has become to small. I would like to increae the size but there is another volume next to it before the free space. I would like to do all of this in windows. Has any one managed to do this or knows how to do this ?

Hi, Because you didn't mention which volume became small. Therefore, there are two kinds of possibilities: Possibility1: Assuming the volume is not system or boot partition, in such case, you can use diskpart to extend and increase the size of the volume: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/325590 Possibility2: Assuming the volume is the system partition c drive or boot volume, you can't extend with diskpart, because extension merely supports data volumes. It prohibits boot or system partition from being extended. That's the reason why the diskpart failed to extend the volume. And the partition where the system page file is stored is unavailable to extend unless the page file is moved to a partition which you would not like to extend. In such case, you sholud increase the size of system partition with third-party partition manager server software, there is step by step tutorial.
