Hot removing an eSATA drive doesn't remove the drive letter from My Computer in Windowws 2008
I have a Dell t100 server with an Adaptec 1225SA eSATA controller card. When I hot remove an eSATA drive from the computer the drive letter stays in My Computer. If I click on the drive it opens up and I can open one more level of subfolders. If I right click on the drive and look at properties it says the drive is it's full 1 TB size and is empty.

Hi, It seems that the cache hasnt been cleaned timely. I have seen that some third-party cause this issue when you eject a DVD. Please perform the following suggestions: 1. After you hot remove the drive, refresh several times to test whether you have the same issue. 2. Please boot the server to Safe Mode to test whether it works. 3. If possible, please attach the eSATA drive to a computer installed some other Windows system such as Windows Vista to test. Best Regards, Vincent Hu
