Hosting a website with Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard
Hi everyone, I'm trying to host a website on my Windows Server 2008 R2 machine with IIS 7.5 . Sadly I have never hosted a website on my own server at home before. I have searched the web, but have not found a complete guide. What I'm basically asking for is a brief tutorial on what I need to do to make a website accessible on the Internet, hosted at home. How to provide the DNS, and associate a registered domain to the server? I've got a static IP from my ISP, thats not a problem. Thanks in advance, and I hope I'm not asking for too much! Catanar

Hello, for DNS registration, contact your ISP. For hosting the web server, post in http://forums.iis.net/ forums.
