The basic trouble shooting in this case would be stopping the Antivirus on the server and checking it or else do a clean boot and see if continues the same and let us know http://technetfaqs.wordpress.com/2009/05/18/how-to-clean-boot-in-windows-2008-server/http://www.virmansec.com/blogs/skhairuddin

Hello, I agree with Syed. Start by that: Disable all security softwares that you are using on your server Run msconfig and disable all startup items and services except Microsoft ones Once done, reboot your server and check again. If your problem disappear then it should be a problem with a security software / non-Microsoft softwares / startup items. If this does not solve your problem, try these monitoring steps and recommendations: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308356 This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights. Hi, We have high CPU and memory uitilization on windows server 2008 R2 bcoz of lsass.exe. We have MSMQ running on this server. All user sessions get screwed up and users disconnect on their own when this happens. Users end up with a few stray processes running on the server and are not properly logged off. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
