Help with SSL VPN
I’m looking for some step by step guidance to fine tune the configuration of my SSL VPN Server. I configured my VPN server using the 3 part article “Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Remote Access SSL VPN Server” written by Thomas Shinder and published on www.windowsecurity.com. I was successful in completing the configuration and when tested on my LAN the SSTP connection works. However, when I try to connect to my VPN server from an outside network, it fails. I have tried for several days with numerous configurations with no luck. I could be totally wrong, but my thoughts are… My Public IP is not configured in VPN server or Firewall settings, router settings, certificate, etc are incorrect. Any help would be appreciated. Current setup - Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP2 -2 NIC cards assigned with internal static IP’s -My client is running Windows 7 Professional. -Cable modem with ISP Public IP -D-Link DIR-825 router
