I am creating system state backupfor exchange server onWindows 2003. 1. Backup log: Error returned while creating the volumn shadow copy:800423f4 Reverting to non-shadow copy backup mode 2. Event log: Event 215: certsrv.ext(1372) The backup has been stopped because it was halted by the client or the connection with the client failed Event 20: Volume Shadow Copy Service error: A critical component required by the Volume Shadow Copy service is not registered. This might happened if an error occured during Windows setup or during installation of a Shadow Copy provider. The error returned from CoCreateInstance on class with CLSID {40700425-0080-11d2-851f-00c0421759} and Name MSSQL_ClientVirtualDeviceSet is [0x80040154] Event 6008: Sqllib error: Failed to create VDS object. hr=0x80040154 I try to fix this error by increasing setting of shadow copy from 100MB to 400MB. It doesn't work. Help me please.
