Having some issue with folder redirection.
Having some issue with folder redirection. 1) Going from Offline to Online Mode: When the network was reconnected I noticed that the computer is in Offline mode and that the user needs to manually put the redirection to online mode.Prompting a window, I dont need that. 2) Auto Refresh in Windows Explorer: I noticed that when a new folder is created or a file is moved you need to refresh the screen manually to notice the change Any help highly appriaciated. Hi, 1. Wether the content is changed before reconnect to network? If should sync (online) the next time you access the redirected folder if content is modified. See http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Understanding-offline-files If you are working offline and make changes to offline files from a network folder, Windows will automatically sync any changes you made to the files the next time you connect to that network folder. If you are working offline while someone else changes files in a shared network folder, Windows will sync those changes with the offline files on your computer the next time you connect to that network folder. If you have also changed the files since you last connected to the network folder, a sync conflict will occur and Windows will ask you which version you want to keep. 2. This seems be a known issue which is discussed in this thread (not only offline files): http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7files/thread/9d1ede23-2666-4951-b3b9-b6c1ce3d1ebf Shaon Shan |TechNet Subscriber Support in forum |If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com
