Has anyone else noticed that KB2360131 breaks hotfix KB2171141?
Hello, We applied the hotfix detailed in KB2171141 [Internet Explorer 8 restores the search provider settings when the "Prevent Internet Explorer Search box from displaying" Group Policy setting is enabled] and successfully fixed the problem. We have now noticed, however, that the problem has returned as a result of KB2360131 [MS10-071: Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer]. File ieframe.dll is updated from version 8.0.6001.23037 to 8.0.6001.23060. We're using Windows Server 2003 SP2 with IE8. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know if there is a new hotfix in the pipeline or workaround? Thanks, JPF75

I'd call them up. For home users, no-charge support is available by calling 1-866-PCSAFETY in the United States and Canada or by contacting your local Microsoft subsidiary. For more information about how to contact your local Microsoft subsidiary for support issues with security updates, visit the Microsoft International Support website: http://support.microsoft.com/common/international.aspx?rdpath=4 (http://support.microsoft.com/common/international.aspx?rdpath=4) North American customers can also obtain instant access to unlimited no-charge email support or to unlimited individual chat support by visiting the following Microsoft website: http://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?&prid=7552 Regards, Dave Patrick ....
