Hardware requirements
I can't find anything on Windows Server 2008 hardware requirements other than a white paper entitled "Hardware Support and Direction for Windows Server" dated December 2006. I'd like to know the supported processor types and models, the max number of concurrent CPUs (how does this relate to number processor cores), min and max memory, platforms, and max clustering nodes for each of the editons (Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter, Web Server, Itanium-based)? I'm assuming that Server Core is not a separate edition of Server. Given that, is there a Core versions of each edition, or are all cores based on one edition, if so, what is the edition?

Thank you! There is a lot of good information in the Read Me file. I do not see any information on the number of physical concurrent processors that each Server 08edition can handle. Also, I don't see anything on clustering--the number of nodes supported in each edition. A separate question, I'm assuming that the Web Server is basically the Standard edition with limited roles, correct? Finally is there any additional information available on the Itanium-based edition?
Thanks again,
Marty Matthews
