Hardware for new IIS server.
Hello!
I
need to specify
a
hardware to
purchase
a Web
Server (Windows
2008
with IIS).
The only
information I have is
that the server
can have up to
2000
concurrent connections.
Is there
a formula or
rule
to define the
hardware
to a
new IIS server?
Thanks!

Hi,
Actual requirements will vary based on your system configuration, and the applications and features you choose to install.
Windows Server 2008 R2 with SP1 System Requirements
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/system-requirements.aspx
Licensing Windows Web Server 2008 R2

I suggest discussing it in our IIS forum. They are the best resource to answer your question.
