GroupPolicy Error ID 1058
Hello,
please proceed like that:
Make sure that each DC / DNS server points to its private IP address as primary DNS server and other internal DNS servers as secondary ones
Make sure that each DC without DNS points to internal DNS servers as DNS servers
Make sure that each DC has one IP address and one used NIC card
Once done, run ipconfig /registerdns and restart netlogon on each DC you have.
Also, check that needed ports for AD replication are not blocked: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727063.aspx
Also, check that the DFS client is not disabled.

In my windows server 2008 R2 OS in the Event Viewer there is an error pertains as Group Policy Error ID 1058 states-(The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to read the file \\WIN-4T2HS94BCAV.mumthaz.contoso.com\sysvol\WIN-4T2HS94BCAV.mumthaz.contoso.com\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\gpt.ini
from a domain controller and was not successful. Group Policy settings may not be applied until this event is resolved. This issue may be transient and could be caused by one or more of the following:
a) Name Resolution/Network Connectivity to the current domain controller.
b) File Replication Service Latency (a file created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller).
c) The Distributed File System (DFS) client has been disabled.).What is this error? And What is the remedy for this error?
