Getting Prerequisites from an MSI with PowerShell

Hi Guys,

I work in software support. We have many products and many versions to support. A common task is to identify if a customer has installed all perquisites. The problem is that our documentation team, i.e., person, cannot possibly keep up with all the changes made to each product and version. Is there a way to use PowerShell to extract the prerequisites for a particular .msi using PowerShell? A simple one line command would be optimal.

Thanks

The simple answer is NO.

Contact the vendor to get the prerequisites.  The information is not part of an MSI. Only the designers of the software would know this information.
