I am wondering if I have a domain  with 2 child domains and apply a GPO to the OU.

(lets say domain is technet.com and child: ws.technet.com and ok.technet.com)

If I delete the whole GPO (not just link), will the GPO still be applied?

If you delete the GPO directly, after the policy refresh, no policy settings will be applied on that OU. The GPMC will also attempt to delete all links to that GPO in the domain of the GPO (of course, you need to have the rights to delete a link).
