GPOAccelerator VBScript error
Hi I have a windows server 2008 which i have previously run GPOAccelerator quite successfully with. i have recently downloaded the more recent SCMT, i removed and excuted the new .msi file. but i have discovered that there is a VBscript error when i try and run the tool Script: ...\GPOaccelerator.wsfLine: 299Char: 10Error Permission Deniedcode: 800A0046Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error I have tried reinstalling the old version of the software - and the sametype of error occurs - i am running this as the Domain administrator account on the primary domain controller i have not made any deliberate settings change on the PDC with respect to vbscript that i am aware any ideas? how different is the Windows 7 EC GPO settings from the Vista EC GPO, there are 100s of settings if i were to do it by hand from the baseline xls spreadsheet .... thanks dickon

OK - problem solved you need to start GPOAccelerator as 'run as administrator' - this has either changed or i have forgotten - it has been ages since i configured the GPOs for the domain!!

The GPOAccelerator is no longer available. It has been replaced with Microsoft Security Compliance Manager and the Local Policy Tool, see http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/what-happened-to-the-gpo-accelerator.aspx for more details. You can download SCM at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc677002.aspx.
