Frazer on Windows Server STD 2008
Hello Guys I need helpI am already setup a Domain on Car lot, they use Software called FRAZER this software was works fine from the workgroup network, but After I installed it on the server 2008 the software works good from any pc connected to the domain under the Administrator account but if other users log on to use the software I get this error: COULD NOT GET WRITE ACCESS TO C:\FRAZERPRINT\FRAZER.TPS SO TRYING READ-ONLY. Then you will hit enter, you will get AN ERROR WAS EXPERIENCED DURING THE CREATION OF A RECORD. FILE C:\FRAZERPRINT\FRAZER.TPS ERROR: ACCESS DENIED (5).So the users can read the data in the software only, cannot edit or update. Any body could help to figure this problem.

Hi Loaysh, Thank you for posting in windows server forums, The issue seems to be related to the permission to run the software / read and write on to the software. I would like you to check for any policies ( group policies ) that you have applied . If you feel that you havent installed any group policies then you might need elevated access to perform any write and read on to the software. I would also suggest you to talk to support engineer of FRAZER software about the changes / compatibility of their software on windows 2008 server and they might give you a head's up on how to use the software with non-admin priviliges/ user accounts. sainath !analyze

Hi Loaysh,In addtion to Sainath's suggestion, you may also check the Frazer software folder permission whether it's granted modify or Full control permission to your domain users. Please follow the below steps:1. Right click the C:\FRAZERPRINT folder and click properties.2. Click the security table, click Add, type Domain Users and grant modify permission, click Apply and OK.3. Click Advanced.4. In the permission table. click Change Permissions.5. Highlight the Domain Users and click Edit.6. Select "This folder, subfolders and files" in the "Apply to:" option.7. Tick on "Delete subfolders and files" and "Change permissions" for Domain users.8. OK and Apply.Does is work now? If the problem continues, I would like to suggest you contact FRAZER company for direct support.Best Regards,Wilson JiaThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
