Found an error in win2003sp1 - c0000005 at address 7C8224B2 (ntdll!ExpInterlockedPopEntrySList Fault)
Hi, I found an error in Event Viewer. The application, C:\Program Files\OrkAudio\orkaudio.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 05/13/2010 @ 18:12:16.484 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 7C8224B2 (ntdll!ExpInterlockedPopEntrySListFault) Solution http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920978 The application has run normally for about 3 months, but it suddenly stopped on May 13 The application is running on Windows Server 2003 platform with service pack 1 After I followed the Solution link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920978, the resolution is to obtain the latest service pack of windows server 2003 I have installed the same application on OTHER window server 2003 with service pack 2, and it works fine without any error for almost 2 years So I would like to ask, Does it mean the service pack 2 can fix the (ntdll!ExpInterlockedPopEntrySListFault) issue ? Thanks Manfree

Hi You need to contact oreka who is the developer of orkaudio.exe. 0xc00000005 is access violation for the function expinterlockedpop... under ntdll.dll function. the exception to the function under the ntdll.dll doesnt mean that theere is a problem with microsoft dll and i honestly cannot comment without analyzing the dump. ( app dump )
